Allen Ronk Lafoe
Allen Ronk LaFoe is a Long Beach musician and event coordinator. He plays piano, organ, harpsichord, percussion, flutes, harmonium and crumhorn. His musical tastes are extensive, but he has special interest in Middle Eastern, Colonial Latin American and Early & 20th-century music.
Allen began his piano studies at the age of 5, then playing professionally at 14.
He received his degree in Composition & Theory from the University of Maryland, College Park, studying with Lawrence Moss; he has studied organ with Diane Lewis Heath, Dale Krider and Frances Nobert.
As the executive assistant at the Arts Council for Long Beach, he has directed and produced events with the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra, Museum of Latin American Art, scholars from the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., and various local arts organizations.
